This modern white fan is so much better looking than our outdated brown fan! It is sleek and since we have it attached to switches in our bedroom, we didn't even need to install the pull-chains. My husband has installed several fans and said this one wasn't the easiest to install. I love the look of it BUT the light is truly laughable. It is like a spotlight....shines directly downward and does not emit any light to the sides so basically we just have one spotlight in the middle of our room. I was looking for something for our guest room in our Florida home that would help make our guests feel they were on vacation and this fit the bill. We've thrilled with our purchase. The only negative is that the remote changes the light warmth but not necessarily the brightness - there is no dimming option on remote. This fan is a nightmare! I am about to have it removed from my new-build primary bedroom for the second time and will be replacing with another brand. In medium and high speeds, it randomly turns on the light. The first time it was at 3:00 a.m. it also consistently unprograms the remote, so the only way to get it to work again is this dance of switching off at the switch, resetting the breaker, then reprogramming the remote. That's no way to live. The remote actually says the following?.."This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation." So there you have it. They have, in a size 2 font, this disclaimer that says it's not their fault if it doesn't work. Stay away from Wind River. They're cheap and frustrating. Very disappointed with Wayfair/Birch Lane. Took 5 months to receive the fan, once received the fan did not operate properly also, Wayfair/Birch Lane advertises the fan with a light and bulb included on the fan. Don't waste your time or your money. I feel Wayfair/Birch Lane did not handle this situation properly. I know now they are a third party company aka middle man company. Very poor situation!. Vina.
