Blue Shade Pull-Chain Floor Lamps

Stained glass is handcrafted using the same technique that was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. Glass types and colors are designed using metallic salts during manufacturing. Each piece of real glass is hand-cut and copper foil is wrapped around each individual piece. The glass pieces are then welded by hand to create one-of-a-kind designs. As part of the finishing process, oil is added to the outside of the design to protect the metal from erosion. The beauty of stained glass is its versatility when illuminated by light. Stained glass will become more vibrant when lit.

The lamp is pretty overall, but the pigments stained glass is a far cry from the lamps you would find made 20-30 years ago. The pigments and coloring is very opaque, and the appearance is comparatively dull and non-uniform to that of a more traditional fixture. Lots of problems with this item. Manufacturer listed as “Set of 2” which is incorrect. Received only one lamp shipped in two boxes. Contacted manufacturer who stated they never sell sets of lamps, only individual. Here’s an idea….how about you get the listing correct next time so a potential customer has the proper information. Manufacturer also disclaims color variance in the shade which is normal due to lighting, however, the lower half of the shade is predominately dark purple, which in no way resembles the blue of the listing photos. The shade features Multi-hued Plum fringe with dome brickwork intertwined with Emerald; Cobalt; Heather; Xanadu; Azure and Saffron art glass. The art glass shade is created using the famous Meyda Tiffany copperfoil construction process and enhanced with a floor base finished in Mahogany Bronze. UL and cUL listed for dry locations.

This beautiful floral designed tiffany style lamp has been handcrafted with pieces of stained glass, each hand-cut and wrapped in fine copper foil.
