[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lightbulb is neat. The top half is black which causes the light to cast downward in a concentrated area. Would be great in a bedside lamp for reading at nighttime. It’s also dimmable (I just don’t have a dimmable lamp to try it in). Super cool idea!. Aimeef30_655. Wed Jan 15 2025

Ideal for pendant fixtures, redirecting light upwards, and can be paired with a compatible dimmer to offer an adjustable warm white light.

I really like the soft, indirect light that these bulbs cast in the room. Being LED, I thought the lighting temperature would be harsh, but it’s very warm. Clear Globe G40 LED Replacement Light Bulbs for Indoor Outdoor String Lights

These lights hang swagged along the ceiling edge my 40’ front porch. This is the second year (2026) they have been put up. I have them plugged into a timer so every night they go on at dusk and off at midnight. I have never had to replace the any of the bulbs yet. The bulbs are plastic, but do not look like glass. I bought them specifically for that reason because the previous string came down in a windy storm leaving glass shattered everywhere. I have already bought replacement bulbs for when and if I need them I have received many compliments from my neighbors. Las. Laconia, NH. Fri May 15 2026

We love these light bulbs for our exposed bulb fixture where we wanted something oversized but also frosted. These dim really well with our Lutron Diva dimmer switch. We ordered multiple sets with different lumen ratings for different counts of bulbs for different room fixtures. The lowest lumen count is nicely soft with 2 in a bathroom, but when we had 3 we preferred to add a dimmer switch to soften it further. We have 6 in the primary bathroom and they dim quite well..
