To make a wall plate, two pieces of glass are cut, cleaned, stacked together, and placed into a kiln. The kiln goes up to 1450°f, the glass becomes molten and fuses together to make one piece of glass. The glass goes to a water jet and the plate is cut out. Then, the glass is placed onto a mold and taken to 1300°f, the glass becomes elastic and gravity pulls the glass over the mold. Hot knobs call this process slumping. The glass spends about 48 hours in the kilns. Expect slight variations in color and size.

Great colors and the glass is sturdy.. Presentacion. Fresno, CA. Thu Jan 18 2018

I ended up with these cover plates everywhere on our first floor ~ we have all white walls, these pop beautifully. I LOVE THEM !!!. Tracey. Manasquan, NJ. Mon Dec 15 2025
