It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. We really like the overall look and design of this ceiling fan. We installed it in one of our guest bedrooms, and it looks great. The only challenge we had was assembling the additional downrod. The screws didn’t seem to be the same size, so it took some extra effort to get everything tightened properly. Once we got past that, the rest of the installation was quick and easy.
