Perfect! This lamp is attractive and just the right richness in color for a male wardrobe room. The lamp sits atop a chest of drawers, casting the needed additional lighting to see inside the chest and the finish work during the nightly shoe shine ritual. Although I am personally not a fan of the bright-white shade, the oblong shape of the lamp (and the shade) makes it difficult to find a replacement for something with color. All in all, the fixture is a proper addition if you're going for modern class versus ornate and/or traditional. I would order again. Lamp color ordered: Oxblood. Mrs J. Anywhere, USA. Coming out of the box I was concerned about it’s stability due to narrow base and wide top shade, but have had no issues with it being placed on a small end table in a highly used room. This is a gorgeous lamp that is beautifully proportioned. The picture gives a very good representation only the color was even more vibrant in real life. It’s a perfect nightstand light because it is compact and the top part of the shade is covered so you don’t look down into the light bulb and fixture. The lamp works from every angle. The one minus might be that the dimmer switch on the electrical cord is boxy and disproportionately large. I will likely take it to a store and have it changed with a different switch.. Hester.
