I have posted a “before” photo. “After” photo coming! We bought these lights to replace our old, outdated, mismatched track lighting (shown in photo). Because they are going on a second floor ceiling, which is vaulted and might be 24 feet high. We have to have our electricians come out to install these. Otherwise it would be very easy for my husband to install these if it was only on a regular height ceiling. We really love the look of these. They will be much more modern sleek and design and all matching. We purchased the white set and I think it’s going to really enhance our living room. Nice design, puts out a good amount of light. Directions a little thin, but ok for anyone who has changed a light fixture before. The adjustable wire for the free side (side opposite the outlet) probably needs to be trimmed--but nothing says this should be done. The screw that anchors the free end can go directly into the ceiling drywall anywhere--doesn't need to be drilled into wood. Two people needed to mount it and get the angles right. I used MR16 GU10 Dimmable 15,000-Hour LED Light Bulb 2700K in Soft White, and the light is crisp and warm enough (not as warm as halogen, of course, but they run cool by comparison). Love how the arms can move to aim the light where I need it. It blends in with the white ceiling nicely and is inobtrusive. Hereʻs a trick to put in the bulbs, donʻt use the little suction cup they send you, instead, I used blue tape! Any tape will do, but the blue tape just comes off easy. You put each end of a piece of tape onto opposite sides of the bulb, then fold the middle part of it back to make a little handle tab, it then holds the bulb exactly where it need to be, and you can twist it into place! Easy to install, looks good, and works well. I would recommend this with two notes. The directions in the box suck but most track lights install very similarly so using directions from Google for house to install track lights allowed me to install the track light. Secondly, you can install a normal light bulb in these, but because it sits recessed in the can it works more like a spotlight than a floodlight. Decent. Finish a little subpar but you won't see it unless you're on a ladder. Also looks more like a brushed nickel with a very slight gold tint to it. Very slight. Don't know how it works yet still remodeling. Also the swivel isn't very tight. Not the circular rotation but the side to side light placement so hopefully it stays where you point it.
