It is very nice however hardwiring is not an option for me. The small light that is powered by the solar battery does not put off very much light. It is very dim compared to other solar lights I have on my property. Since I was installing mine on a wood rail I had to find 4 screws that were long enough to fit the base. I really like the design of this outdoor post top light. We found a pole and mounted it in our backyard. It looks really nice and the light is the right size. It was easy to mount to a pole and easy to hook up the electrical. The light is really good quality and I like the shape of the light and the finial on the top.
