Union Rustic Floor Lamps

Stained glass is handcrafted using the same technique that was developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. Glass types and colors are designed using metallic salts during manufacturing. Each piece of real glass is hand-cut and copper foil is wrapped around each individual piece. The glass pieces are then welded by hand to create one-of-a-kind designs. As part of the finishing process, oil is added to the outside of the design to protect the metal from erosion. The beauty of stained glass is its versatility when illuminated by light. Stained glass will become more vibrant when lit.

This is a substantial floor lamp. Real "heft" especially in the base. When you have dogs, this is a real concern if you're worried about the lamp tipping over and crashing to the floor. I DID find that I needed to purchase some fairly narrow "bullet" shaped clear LED 60 watt bulbs cuz the round ones showed beneath the shade (ugly)!! With that change, I love the look now!. Anonymous. This is a beautiful and beautifully made lamp. My husband had no trouble assembling it. We are very impressed with the quality of the workmanship, despite the fact that it’s made it China. The shade is obviously hand done, and the colors are just what we wanted, primarily neutral with accents of blue and red. Because it has two bulbs, the lamp throws off good light for reading without any glare. This definitely looks like a more expensive piece. I hope it lasts a long time, because we love it.. Jo Ann.
