I love my new Sconce! I looked over several sites for a swing arm that would offer plug-in capability for using on my antique desk. This is my bedside tablenightstand that does not offer space for a standard lamp. I like that I can easily reach it from my bed allowing me to move it to where I need the light. Its sturdy construction and finish is perfect. I will be getting a brass cord cover but the cord is black cloth covered and looks high-end so it’s really not needed. These sconces will be hardwired, so I didn't need the on/off switch. Because the two joints articulate 180 degrees, I can install them opposite each other so that the adjustment screws are each toward the outside of the fixture by inverting one of the bases (one would have the on/off switch on the bottom, and the other would have it on the top out of rerach). We love that its swing arm is adjustable, so this light shines wherever you need it. A cord cover is included for a clean look but, if you’d rather hardwire this wall sconce, its cord is removable. It’s compatible with a dimmer switch, and you have the option to mount it facing up or down. Plus, a lightbulb is included.

These are fantastic! They really add to our bedroom in a way that looks high end. Installation was not difficult (see below for a tiny caveat) and the materials feel well made. Two thoughts: 1. If you aren’t hardwiring, there is a pole to mask the power cord. On both lamps, the cord would go 95% of the way through and get stuck. If you put the cord through going the opposite direction, it worked perfectly…but you can’t do that because the male end has to screw into the lamp itself. I finally tied some dental floss around the cord and pulled it through. 2. The “dimmable” part is a mystery at the moment because the included bulbs don’t dim. Great light and I like that we were able to put a bright bulb for the user who likes very bright reading lights. A lot of the similar lights take candelabra bulbs which are generally much dimmer.
