Steel Post Lights

This 1-light post lantern head washes light over your favorite outdoor setting while adding a bit of modern industrial style to your space. It has a pipe-like arm with a 3" diameter post fitting on one end, and it attaches to a hammered bell-shaped shade on the other. This entire piece is made from metal, with the shade boasting a two-toned finish and an interior that reflects the light from a 100w bulb (sold separately). This light is compatible with dimmer switches, letting you control the brightness level of the bulb depending on the time of day. Note: a post and base are not included.

we got the outdoor post lantern a few weeks ago and got it up next to the driveway close to the kitchen door, it is great in the evening to sit outside and not have to move around to get a light to come on, we also got a shimmering light to go inside of it, and it looks like one of those old timey post you see in the westerns or old movies where someone had to go around and light up all of the street lights, and the glass being frosted it is just stunning. we love it.... This thing is amazing! I would prefer the option to have a softer yellow tone light in addition to the bright white, but it fits my needs. Needed a light out near the chicken coop/run but too far from nearest electrical feed to run anything permanent. This fits the bill. I have it on the mode where the light stays on low but comes on bright when approached or when it signals motion from a predator. Lights up the area very well for night time feeding/cleaning activities. I will remove the water from base and replace with sand before winter. Only thing I would change would be an option for an off/motion on mode rather than just low light/bright motion. Love that we can put it anywhere we need more light.. Robert. Leroy, OH. I ordered the pole with this lantern and I love it. It does not come with a bulb. I suggest using an aquarium type long skinny bulb. It looks great. Again make sure your pole has the mounting kit as I had to pay my electrician to come back after I had to order the kit. The gauge of the steel is stronger than my old post. Of 25 years. I think the bottom joke should be lower and have a grommet for wire protection it is a challenge to get wiring for outlet and photo sensor and power feed and fixture. Luckily a 3 inch pipe makes it. The cross bar is way too loose in pole holes and is plastic, used to be a good fit metal. Try and get silicone neatly around it to hold in place.
