The directions in the box suck but most track lights install very similarly so using directions from Google for house to install track lights allowed me to install the track light. Secondly, you can install a normal light bulb in these, but because it sits recessed in the can it works more like a spotlight than a floodlight. They acknowledged the error but still forced me to pay the extortionist return shipping fee for the unwanted duplicate. Nice design, puts out a good amount of light. Directions a little thin, but ok for anyone who has changed a light fixture before. The adjustable wire for the free side (side opposite the outlet) probably needs to be trimmed--but nothing says this should be done. The screw that anchors the free end can go directly into the ceiling drywall anywhere--doesn't need to be drilled into wood. Two people needed to mount it and get the angles right. I used MR16 GU10 Dimmable 15,000-Hour LED Light Bulb 2700K in Soft White, and the light is crisp and warm enough (not as warm as halogen, of course, but they run cool by comparison). I got this with the mindset that it would be much larger width wise as well as length wise but this is a very lightweight product. It was easy to install and I didn’t have enough bulbs for the all lights but what I did have looked amazing and worked great for what I needed. The “arms” are very versatile in movement and I believe the bulbs can be moved 180*.
