I want to love this so so much! It was easy to install and other than being tedious work to hang the crystals they were easy. It looks absolutely gorgeous, however as you can see, I did not expect that the room would be so dark above the light, I also did not realize the rest of the room would have the broken light pattern on it. I have never owned a chandelier so I was unaware of these effects. For those reasons I dropped a star off. But the fan is so awesome on this light and the light it gives to the floor is excellent as well. I also do not like that the remote for this light is black. I believe it completely throws off the aesthetics of the room. I will be hiding the remote behind something because no way do I want a black remote on the wall. I wish it was white (. Laura. Awesome upgrade!! It took a few days to arrive & when I received it I initially was worried about the hue of the gold tone...but once it was up I am so happy for the purchase. The installation seemed pretty straightforward out of the box....my handyman put it up fairly quick. Only critique was the battery that came with the remote was dead....so he fumbled with the fan/remote for an extra 10 min thinking something went wrong with the install...only for us to figure out that it was only the battery that was the culprit. This ceiling fan is beautiful! It is very well made and sturdy. The materials are too notch. The rattan wicker fabric is great!! We got it to go with other fabric wicker types we just got from Wayfair as well. It all looks great together. We have a beach house and this looks great over our bed. However, it would just as great in a dining room or living room as well. It is a pretty big size so would fill up your areas nicely. It is a modern coastal take on the old paddle type ceiling fans. Don’t still looks coastal but uniquely different then the older types. It is also unique in the fact that the blades are curved and they stay folded down on the top until you turn it o. Then they open up and spread out as they open. When you turn off it folds back down on top It then looks like a regular candelabra type under a coastal shade! We haven’t figured out how to keep blades open all the time if we like that look. Not sure they do but we will continue to check. The only negative is that it has a slight wobble in it at any speed it’s on. We had a professional install it. So it is in good and tight and all fine tight. The prettiest fan EVER...BUUUUT!!! It stop working in 7 months. The light won't go out. Called an Electrician and he said the unit had to be replaced. So he disconnected the light portion and we still have the fan. Called Wayfair to try and have it resolved. If you buy this Gan keep an eye on it and make sure you get the Warranty.... Crystal. This ceiling fan looks beautiful over the bed in our beach house. It is unique in the way that the rattan is in lines and is also done in a double layer like light. It has a ceiling fan that is attached to top of it and you use remote control to open the fan up and to close it. When it’s closed it just sits folded up at top. When you want to use it you push button and speed and it circulates and the blades unfold and open as it picks up speed. It looks amazing. Again. Very unique. Still looks coastal but also a more modern version of the coastal look as opposed to the older leaf like blades that have been around forever. The color is light and neutral so it goes with many things. You can put different types of bulbs in it as well as different shades of color. It went up easily and it seems to be made very well.
