It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. Recently installed this beautiful fan and I couldnt be happier. The design is stunning and the wood blades give it a high end feel. The overall modern look makes it a true statement piece. Functionality is as impressive as esthetics. The fan is incredibly quiet and you barely notice its running. Provides a strong breeze even on the lowest setting. Integrated lighting works as expected. I’ve been really happy with this ceiling fan overall. The design is what first caught my attention. The solid wood blades look much more upscale than typical builder-grade fans and give the room a clean modern coastal feel. It works especially well in spaces with white or light natural finishes. The fan itself is very quiet, even on the higher speeds. The reversible motor is a nice feature and the airflow has been excellent for both cooling and circulating air. The remote is simple to use and having 6 speeds gives much better control than standard lowmediumhigh fans. I also liked the adjustable light temperatures since it makes it easy to switch between warmer lighting at night and brighter white light during the day. Installation was fairly straightforward, although the instructions could have been clearer in a few spots, especially around wiring and pairing the remote. Not difficult if you’ve installed fans before, but first-time installers may need a little patience. My only real complaint is that the integrated light could be a little brighter for larger rooms, but for bedrooms, covered patios, offices, or sitting areas it’s perfectly adequate.
