A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on. It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954. I want to love this so so much! It was easy to install and other than being tedious work to hang the crystals they were easy. It looks absolutely gorgeous, however as you can see, I did not expect that the room would be so dark above the light, I also did not realize the rest of the room would have the broken light pattern on it. I have never owned a chandelier so I was unaware of these effects. For those reasons I dropped a star off. But the fan is so awesome on this light and the light it gives to the floor is excellent as well. I also do not like that the remote for this light is black. I believe it completely throws off the aesthetics of the room. I will be hiding the remote behind something because no way do I want a black remote on the wall. I wish it was white (. Laura.
