It was not very difficult to install on our back porch the height and space we had was restricted so we had to modify the drop down tube by cutting it off and redrilling the bolt holes. They made an immediate difference in reducing the room temperature by three degrees. I mounted the remote controls on the walls next to the switches for each. Remotes are cool because they have speeds 1-6 and the ability to reverse the direction. There’s also a setting that will have the fan come on from time to time to circulate the air and a timer button to have it run for 2, 4 or 6 hours.
