The downsides: my old traditional ceiling fan had separate switches for the fan and the light, and this fan doesn't work with the second separate fan switch. Also if you turn it off using the wall switch, it preserves the last light setting but not the fan setting, so you would have to turn the fan back on with the remote any time you use the switch. Shout out to the manufacturer and to wayfair. There was an issue with my order missing some of the screws. They resolved my issue quickly and hassle-free. I really appreciate it.. Diana. This fan is beautiful. The light that comes attached is great too. I generally don’t like lights on ceiling fans. This one however, lights up the room perfectly day or night. It also is dimmable so you have several amounts of lighting you can use from dim to bright. The fan gives off enough air with no problem. It also matches all my other lighting in house with the black hardware and the wicker rattan type material. It’s perfect in our beach home in our guest bedroom in the center between two twin beds.
