I had no issues with the height or head adjustment, and like how many configuration options there are. I ordered the weathered brass and in my opinion it was quite a bit brighter than as pictured. The lamp sits atop a chest of drawers, casting the needed additional lighting to see inside the chest and the finish work during the nightly shoe shine ritual. Although I am personally not a fan of the bright-white shade, the oblong shape of the lamp (and the shade) makes it difficult to find a replacement for something with color. Love the base to this fixture. The marble is a very nice touch and the design is very classic. The lamp shade however looks too small and the stark white makes the lamp look cheap.
