Originally made to provide people with a source of light, lanterns were first designed for function, not fashion. Today, they incorporate both. Take this one, for example: designed to hang from your ceiling, this hanging lantern features a tapered silhouette that’s crafted from metal and features a neutral finish that allows it to blend with your color scheme. Glass panes diffuse light from the candelabra-base bulbs (not included), while a damp location rating allows it to safely hang on your porch or back deck.
