This Slip Uno Adapter Converts your Standard Lampshade to fit on the Slip Uno Lamp Base. Did you ever have trouble finding a UNO fitter shade? This is common because most replacement shades have standard spider fitters aka washer fitters. Will this fit your lamp? Our Uno opening is 1 7/16" which is the most common size, so be sure to measure your bulb socket to make sure the diameter is less than 1 7/16". Slip Uno adapters are made to fit directly over a plastic lamp socket found on lamps usually purchased at many popular retail stores. Uno fitter shades are difficult to find, so this adapter lets you use standard washer fitter shades on your uno lamp base. This adapter attaches directly to the harp, allowing the use of nearly any replacement lampshade. Harp is 14" tall and the height from the bottom Uno ring to the top plate is 14", so this fitter works best with shades that are about 17" tall. Polished brass finish.

I had an brief, anxious moment because there weren't instructions for choosing the right diameter of the adapter ring that the harp fits in to. What one should measure for that isn't well-explained. Adding that to the listing would be a good enhancement to help the DIY-er. In my experience with this fitter, measuring the inside diameter of the plastic nut that will hold it down gave me the right information. I love this Faceted Crystal Lamp Finial; it works perfectly for what I need. The only issue is how it was packed; it should be in a secure package box rather than just in a plastic package. And, of course, one finial was broken, so I put glue on it just to put it through together. This was a little smaller than I anticipated (assumed it would be the same size as a similar medallion from the same brand, silly me) but it is a subdued, elegant touch to upgrade a fixture I still want to replace!
