Hand-applied Patina finishes on brass and copper are sealed with a clear varnish and over time; may require gentle maintenance; such as wax; to delay or reverse the natural living finish attributes indicative of this finishing process. Patina finishes on brass and copper provide strong resistance to fading from sun exposure; will not chip or crack; and will not rust like a steel-framed item in the same conditions.
