Akshara Upholstered Bench

The high sides and open back of this traditional 15th century English design provided pious monks with a relatively private spot for chapel prayers. The exquisitely carved linen fold ornamentation allows the beautifully versatile utilitarianism of this replica to shine beneath a hand-rubbed, antique finish that makes this focal piece perfect for donning boots in the front hall or finding a quiet place of rest in the library. This investment in European-style, hand-carved furniture art is a Bloomsbury Market exclusive!
