Great medallion with visual interest. Before you buy any medallion, you should do a quick read on the internet about how to mount them first. I would never recommend using just the light and it’s screws to “adhere” it to the ceiling. Get some construction adhesive, construction glue etc. A few dabs on the back will hold it up. Though you’ll need to secure it with a few very tiny screws to keep it up if you’re doing it before you mount the light. I put screws (in pre drilled holes) either in the pattern or near the middle opening (hidden by the light canopy). Once it’s up and secured, use caulking around the outer rim and to hide any screw holes you’ve made. Then touch up with ceiling paint. Yes, you need to paint it the ceiling colour or the medallion will draw your eye in a bad way!

Contemporary design unlike the norm. Just a little rough in the plain middle area which required light sanding. Should have been smooth.

Looks great with my semi-flush mount. I painted it with a glossy black and it makes the gold finish on the light really pop! As a musician, I love how it almost looks like a vinyl record. Very cool modern look! It’s so lightweight we just used the light fixture itself to hold it in place.
