The Met x Eichholtz presents the Wall Lamp Amun, inspired by the elegant leaf designs on a capital (380–343 BCE) from the Egyptian temple of Amun at Hibis. Featuring a brushed-brass finish and smoke glass, this lamp pays homage to the creativity and artisanship of ancient Egyptian architecture, bringing a touch of timeless elegance to your space. Historic provenance: The Wall Lamp Amun draws its essence from an early example of a composite capital that was once displayed in front of the Temple of Amun at Hibis in Egypt's Kharga Oasis. Now in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Egyptian Art collection, this ancient capital features an elegant design that incorporates the common papyrus and foxtail flat-seed plants, reflecting the intricate artisanship and artistic heritage preserved by The Met.
