This light is perfect. I used to have a picture light that was hardwired, but now that I have downsized to an apartment, I was reluctant to install a new one. This light is just right. I love that it runs on a rechargeable battery that can be charged via USB. I bought an extra-long cable that would reach my outlet, ran the cable down behind the picture and my couch, and voila! And the installation was a snap. It has a very strong metallic plate that you attach to the wall with a couple screws, then you just place the light base against it (there's a little notch to make sure it's level) and voila! again. I wasn't sure the magnet would hold since I live right next to a train track, but it's sturdy enough to withstand the minor shaking when it goes by. Nice, lightweight picture light. USB rechargeable so it's perfect. Unsure how long the charge lasts, so if I find the charge life is too short, I will update the review. I would recommend to the manufacturer that they drill one screw hole in the magnetic plate in the back for more secure mounting. Not a fan of the adhesive backing on the metal plate, and I know I'll fear unit is just heavy enough to slip off the magnetic plate and fall off the wall.
