The Luminous shade is made of five woven rattan drums stacked at different widths. A slim drum at the crown steps out to the widest band at the center, then narrows again toward a small drum at the base, creating a layered, wedding-cake profile. Each tier is woven by hand in a textured open weave with fine horizontal banding, so the surface looks rich up close and soft from across the room.
When lit, the overlapping layers filter light in gentle gradations and give a warm, softly diffused glow. Its balanced, symmetrical form makes a confident centerpiece over a dining table, in a living room or in an open-plan space with generous ceiling height. Because every Luminous is handmade, slight variations in weave and tone make each piece one of a kind.
