This fixture uses patented Antimicrobial LED technology to kill and halt the growth of viruses, bacteria, mold, mildew, E.coli, MRSA and fungi. This light has an estimated life of 50,000 hours and features two modes, which can be controlled with a wall switch - Standard Lighting Mode- a soft white light with an output of 1000 lumens, 3000K, and a color rendering of 90+ - and Violet Antimicrobial Mode- a purple light that stops the kills and halts the growth of microorganisms on surfaces. This state-of-the-art, odor-reducing Bright Clean technology doesn't rely on harsh ultraviolet (UV) light, so you can feel safe using this light for continued periods around family and pets. This antimicrobial fixture is wet-rated for use in damp areas, and fits any standard 5-inch or 6-inch recessed retrofit light housing. The included retrofit kit makes this an easy installation for any DIY replacement of your current recessed light.
