Measure the length of the Stub Out Nipple (B) from the wall surface to the end pipe.Stub Out Nipple (B) must be 2"" and 3""long. The end of Stub Out Nipple (B) should be cut even. Use sandpaper to remove burrs and chamfer the pipe end, and polish the tube surface to a smooth, bright copper color to avoid nicking the O-ring.2. Lubricate Stub Out Nipple (B) about 1"" with Silicone Grease.3. Slide the new tub spout (A) onto the Stub Out Nipple (B) until it touches the wall.4. Using the supplied Allen Wrench, tighten Screw (C) until it touches Stub Out Nipple, then tighten 1/2 to 1 full turn to secure Tub Spout (A) onto Stub Out Nipple (B).5. Turn the shower ""ON"". TEST FOR LEAKS.-** CAUTION: DO NOT USE IF LEAKING FROM THE REAR. WALL DAMAGE CAN OCCUR. **Note: This device is designed in compliance with ASME A112.18.1-2005/CSA B125.1-05 standard. A small amount of water is intended to flow from the spout when the diverter is engaged.
