It was packaged securely, and nothing was damaged. It is a very stable, heavy serving tray for food items like cakes, pies, etc. It is larger than a dinner plate as shown in one photo. My only complaint is that there is green in the marble veining rather than just white and grey like the photo on the site depicts. Otherwise, it is a lovely serving tray for your buffet or table..
