Everything has been Meraviglioso!! The plate sets match my lava stone table that I bought in Italy and had shipped to me! Color was perfect, they feel sturdy. I read a few reviews that said they had some chipping of their plates. I have had stoneware before and I feel these should not easily chip unless of course they are dropped or not handled with care. Would be a 5 except the coffee mugs are much lighter in color, I'm not sure which is the correct color. It almost looks like a different color option, but I know there isn't another gray color option. I ordered this 16 pc set and another 12 piece set all were the darker color only the mugs were lighter. I love the set though; great quality, heavy, and seems like they will last a long time.. Lynn. Great set of dishes. Bought 2 sets around 6 months ago. We use them every day, including running through the dishwasher. So far, no cracks, chips or discoloration. I am pretty clumsy.
