Everything has been Meraviglioso!! The plate sets match my lava stone table that I bought in Italy and had shipped to me! Color was perfect, they feel sturdy. I read a few reviews that said they had some chipping of their plates. I have had stoneware before and I feel these should not easily chip unless of course they are dropped or not handled with care. Just use caution. I like the lip on the plates, shape and size of bowls. The cups are great size for coffee, definitely not a small cup! I would give these 10 stars if I could! Love them and color!!. The photos of this place setting do not do it justice. The outer rim is grayish, translucent and shiny. It is simply elegant, literally, and classy, yet casual enough for every day.
