Very study stoneware plates and bowls. Simple and beautiful design that can be used for normal everyday use as well as dressed up for formal dining. The polished rims really look nice in person and dress up the dish set. Love the “lip” around the edge - allowing better management of the food on the plate from the edge. Very versatile and functional. The plate is very large. It's a dull black. This could be used for a very large meal, with multiple items or even as a serving dish. All the others are ceramic, see closely on second picture, very attractine pattern. The very large pasta dish could be used for a large pasta meal, and you could put garlic toast on the side.
