I looked at quite a few placemats before settling on these ones and I'm happy with the purchase. They're quite flexible while still being thick enough to actually create some separation between the table & whatever you place on them. Have only had them a couple weeks so I can't really speak to the durability long term but initial impression is that if you treat them with care they'll probably be good for a long while.. Anonymous.
