The best holiday baking dishes earn a place at the table, not just in the oven — and the Berry Red Large Rectangular Baker earns it the moment it emerges from the heat, its glossy, saturated red glaze glowing in the kitchen light with the bold, vivid confidence of the most uncompromisingly festive color of the season. At 150 ounces and generously deep at three full inches, it holds every grand holiday recipe the season demands: a bubbling sweet potato casserole crowned with toasted marshmallow, a fragrant stuffing baked golden in the oven's warmth, a generous gratin of roasted root vegetables gilded with cream and thyme. The ornate handles carry it to the table with elegance and security. The bold red glaze announces its arrival. This is the baker the holiday feast was waiting for — bold, red, generous, and entirely committed to the simple proposition that the most important baking dish of the season should arrive at the table as boldly dressed as the feast.

Terrine dishes are traditionally used to compact a forcemeat mixture like pate (the resulting form is also referred to as a terrine). Some terrines include a weighted press that molds the mixture from all sides. As the meat cooks, the fat within it begins to set, helping the terrine hold its form. The enameled cast-iron pate terrine makes a stylish serving pan for meatloaf, fresh bread, pound cake, or homemade custard — and its temperature retention properties allow the dish to remain hot or cold at the table until the food is ready to serve.
