Brighten any room with their unique bohemian style upcycled, vibrant color. The product is handmade by artisans who carefully collect pieces of vintage and upcycled fabrics to create elaborate patterns and colors. The result is a truly unique and individual piece for your home. Each piece is different from the next because they are each hand sewn from the scraps leftover during the process of hand making Indian saris, which is a women’s garment from the Indian subcontinent, that consists of a drape varying from five to nine yards.

Handmade cowhide placemats, cut from panels of genuine hair on hide and stitched by hand. Every hide is different, so the browns, blacks and whites fall in their own way on each mat and no two in a set are ever identical. Each mat measures 13.5 by 17.5 inches, enough room for a dinner plate with the setting around it, and the hide gives a firm base that lies flat on the table. Choose the tricolor pattern or the star design, which sets a single hand cut star at the centre of every mat, in sets of four, six or eight. Real leather rather than a print, they spot clean and stack away flat between meals.

With a classic printed patchwork of wilderness motifs and coordinating plaid, the Fletcher Forest table linen collection brings rustic lodge style to any meal. Use this machine-washable quilted cotton placemat in your holiday dining room or in the homey kitchen of your mountain cabin.

Add the finishing touch to your tabletop with the charming woven cotton placemats. You're sure to find exactly what you're looking for.

I purchased the Dieter 19" Placemats in the red color. The color is a bright bandana-red, and the mats are made of a pretty thick material. One of the reasons I got these was because they are machine washable and dryer safe (per the product's tag); however, they didn't hold up well at all when I washed them for the first time! They came out so wrinkled that I had to rewash and then flat-dry instead. Also, the placemats shrank a good 3/4" in size, the ends of a few of them started unraveling, and the blue printing "smeared" (for lack of a better word) and left strange stains across the mats (not noticeable at a distance, but enough to annoy me). I wanted to like these placemats, but they were too expensive to be falling apart like this before the first use! I wouldn't buy them again; but if you decide to risk it, I definitely don't recommend drying them. (Photos are of the mats after air-drying, so less wrinkly.). Mountaingirl. MT. Sat Feb 29 2020
