I was totally surprised that the cups were made of metal. I was reminded of when I was a little girl and my grandmother had a set of blue and white ones. She would pour a little bit of coffee in one and put alot of milk and a little bit of sugar. With that I thought I was a grown up and we would sit at the table with our Mexican pastry and coffee for breakfast. Now I know that what these say is not appropriate. They are a gift. Super cute mug. I personally love the smaller size because I feel your hot drinks stay hotter longer. I had never used a tin mug before, and now I understand why they are often used in campingoutdoor settings. The entire mug gets hot!
