Mouth-blown by skilled glassblowers to create a hollow-stemmed flute. Layers of coloured and clear glass are gathered and shaped before blowing into the mould. The disc foot is shaped by hand using a wooden tool and applied to the stem. The fine rim is fire polished to achieve a smooth finish. An iridescent lustre is applied by hand while the glass is still hot.

The glasses I was sent were not the color I requested and depicted on the page and much smaller than met my needs. I love these glasses. Perfect for a margarita. However, they very fragile. One broke on first use simply by plopping an ice cube into the glass. The corner of the ice cube punctured a dime sized hole in the bowl. I tried to take a photo, but impossible to see. Very unsatisfactory for what I consider an expensive picnic glass.
