This is the nicest trivet riser I have ever seen. I cannot even explain how heavy it is which shows how well made it is. It will last a lifetime! The scalloping on it is so nice. Five stars. I absolutely love this board. It is so beautiful, and the color is amazing. It’s one of those pieces that you’re excited about as soon as you unwrap it. I couldn’t be happier with how it looks and feels in person. What really stands out is how sturdy and substantial it is. It has a nice heft to it and feels extremely solid and high quality. The weight is part of what I love about it. When you pick it up, you can feel how substantial it is, and that makes it even more beautiful to me. It also comes wrapped beautifully with twine, which makes it such a lovely gift. The presentation is thoughtful and pretty, and I would be excited to give this to someone. Of course, now that I have mine, I’m very happy to be keeping it for myself. I can’t wait to use it as a cheeseboard when we have people over. I can also see myself using it as a stand or base, a serving piece for something special, or possibly a trivet. I love having a piece that gives me so many options and looks beautiful while doing it. I haven’t used it yet, but my first impression couldn’t be better. The color, weight, sturdiness, and presentation are all wonderful. I keep looking at it because it’s just so pretty. After use, wash this product in warm soapy water and wipe excess water off with a dry towel. Never soak or leave water on the wood during drying as it may result in warping over time. Wood products should never be washed in the dishwasher. Rejuvenate and protect your board rubbing it down with Ironwood Butcher Block Oil after each use. When the board is dry, apply the oil liberally and allow it to soak in thoroughly before use. Regular application of our Butcher Block Oil will prevent cracking and preserve the rich natural colors of the wood. From time to time, the surface may become "bumpy". This is completely natural as we leave all of our wood in its natural state with no varnishes or lacquers. You can simply use high grit sandpaper to smooth it out and oil it again to bring it back to new!
