The 15-inch size provides suitable space for plates, bowls, and utensils, making it appropriate for daily meals and table presentations. The resin backing supports structural stability and creates a layer between tableware and furniture surfaces to help reduce marks from moisture, condensation, and contact with warm serving dishes. The bonded stone surface is designed to remain secure during repeated use while maintaining its structured appearance. For maintenance, the placemat can be rinsed with water and gently brushed to remove residue when required. After cleaning, it should be air dried to help maintain its surface quality and long-term usability for modern dining environments.

At $37.99 apiece, you would expect these placemats to be very special. However, the "rocks" as described appeared to be bits of cheap glass. Moreover, the bits of "rock" fell off indiscriminately onto the table, the chairs, and the floor. That happened just by placing them on the table to see how they looked. Awful. Shiny and cheap. I returned these as fast as I could repack them.. Patricia. Wed Mar 01 2023
