This is a very sweet perfect gift for a new mom. The only problem was when I ordered the set it said made of Porcelain on product description & it is not it is Melamine. When I received it was not porcelain. I called Wayfair & The description has since been corrected. It's still cute it's just that the pattern will probably not last as long due to it being Melamine. We love this set of Mikasa bone china. We bought it to replace another Mikasa set that has a metal lining on every plate. We specifically wanted one that was dishwasher and microwave safe. The artwork on the plates is beautiful and looks much better in person. The plates are lightweight and much lighter than our equivalent size ceramic plates. They didn't stain after we ate curry on them. We hand washed and also washed them in the dishwasher. They came out perfect both times. If I can edit my review later, I'll try to add some photos. We ordered three sets. One to use daily, another set for guests, and a third set in case we have any accidents.. Howard. Wed Jul 23 2025

Beloved for its sophisticated simplicity, versatility, and durability, Lastra is our bestselling collection. The Lastra 4-piece place setting is a wonderful starter kit for a Lastra collection. Lastra’s design was inspired by the circular wooden slabs used for centuries to create the outer mold in cheesemaking throughout Italy. When fashioned together with twine, the hoop was left with a slight overlap to help maintain the shape of the cheese mold. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli incorporates the overlapping detail into the entire design, from its foot to its rim. A dark dusting on the edges of each piece suggests the ash that was used to preserve these cheeses and highlights each unique silhouette.
