I wanted to like these. I really did. I was looking for wipeable placemats that also had some insulative properties to protect my new table from hot plates. These were the only ones I could find there were actually pretty (what’s up with placemats being so ugly!) The first set arrived with a damaged corner (shipped in a bag and likely dropped). They also all had a bow in the middle so they wouldn’t lie flat. I chalked that up to poor handling during shipment. Wayfair has excellent customer service and sent me a new set. Alas the second set also bows up in the middle. I even left them under a heavy weight for a week to see if that would flatten them. No luck. So they are useless as placemats because they move and flex as you use them. I had to return them. The front part is also paper-y and I wouldn’t expect them to be that durable after daily wiping.
