I have always disliked the fussiness of most utensil sets with the two sizes of forks and two sizes of spoons. I understand why they come that way, but it also seems to come from the era of people picking out wedding china patterns - save it for grandma's house. So when I found this set with just one size of each, I was super happy. I will say that the spoons are probably a true teaspoon size, and I wish they were larger; they feel very undersized and out of scale with the fork and knife. Most familiar names (and those that used to be associated with quality) are not made in America anymore. For example: Reed and Barton, Onida, Lenox, Micasa, Kate Spade. The quality of these aforementioned brands has decreased dramatically. I would have loved to buy American: yet, I only found one company aptly named Liberty.
