[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stone Lane Vince 16 Piece Stoneware Dinner set in gray, is a great looking set. The front of the plates are glazed and the back side is not. Some have pretty rough edges on the bottom. When they sit in the cabinet they do not lay completely flat and they make a nails on the chalkboard sound if you just pull the plate off of the other instead on lifting it all the way up to pull it out of the cabinet. The plates are heavy to hold therefore, I would keep that in mind if you are purchasing the set as a gift. the other pieces of the set do not feel any heavier than any other dish set I have owned.. These dishes are beautiful, the ring pattern has a sheen which catches the light. They are large plates and bowls. However, the bottoms are rough and will scratch the countertop or table. I lightly sanded the bottoms with fine sandpaper (400 grit) and they are fine now. I will still use placemats though.. Anonymous. Sat Jul 18 2026
