We love this set of Mikasa bone china. We bought it to replace another Mikasa set that has a metal lining on every plate. We specifically wanted one that was dishwasher and microwave safe. The artwork on the plates is beautiful and looks much better in person. The plates are lightweight and much lighter than our equivalent size ceramic plates. They didn't stain after we ate curry on them. We hand washed and also washed them in the dishwasher. They came out perfect both times. If I can edit my review later, I'll try to add some photos. We ordered three sets. One to use daily, another set for guests, and a third set in case we have any accidents.. Howard. Wed Jul 23 2025

I bought three sets of the Mikasa Samantha Gold 12-Piece Dinnerware Set, and I’m very happy with them. The material feels high quality, and the design is elegant . I use these dishes for formal dinners rather than everyday meals because they add a beautiful, upscale touch to the table. Other than that, they are a beautiful, fancy dinnerware set that I enjoy using and would recommend.. Anonymous. Sun Aug 02 2026

Nice bone china rhat meets my expectations fully. Anonymous. Mon Apr 27 2026

The dinnerware set features a simplistic embossed bead design that wraps around the edge of each piece.

These feel delicate but not so much that they'll break if you look at them. They are light to hold but they have some heft in the middle and bottom which makes them stable on the table. The bowls and mugs are surprisingly decent in size and the plates, even the smaller plates, ended up being much larger than I had imagined based on the specs, which is good. Their color is true to the pics and pure white, and they're decorated with a subtle pattern which I didn't even notice first before buying. It's pretty minimal so if you're going for plain, this'll still work. Last but not least, these are packaged carefully. I was impressed by the amount of bubble wrap and cardboard which kept everything safe. Based on some reviews around the site I kind of expected half of my stuff to arrive broken, but so far so good including this one.. Samuel. Pleasanton, CA. Fri Apr 12 2019
