This collection is the result of a collaboration between Bordallo Pinheiro and the Brazilian NGO Ecoarts Amazônia in the preservation of an environmental, cultural, social and scientific heritage crucial to mankind's future. Each piece was inspired from the very rich local flora and was only possible thanks to intense knowledge sharing with those who live their daily lives in this vibrant mosaic of ecosystems, traditions, colours, sounds and smells that is the rainforest. Part of the collection's proceeds will go the reforestation of the area of Mato Grosso, by planting indigenous fruit trees in cities, rural areas and indigenous villages of the region where Ecoarts Amazônia operates.

These handcrafted plates radiate warmth and joy that are sure to lighten your mood. We love using them as lunch and dinner plates, and they also double as wonderful smudge plates for your favorite bundle of intention-setting incense. Material: Ceramic terracotta stoneware Size: Small: approx. 7in diameter x 1in H Medium: approx. 8.5in diameter x 1.25in H Large: approx. 11in diameter x 1.25in H Notes: We recommend hand-washing to increase the product's longevity. This dinner set will be the witness of the nicest dinners thanks to its exquisite design and chic look.

Cabbage, in its rough and flat form, could be used as a metaphor for Portugal’s rustic ways, which Bordallo had so many times caricatured. This was a clever way to honor it, placing it on the bourgeois’ tables, where another way it had not been invited.

Absolutely love it. I collect these pieces and I'm thrilled to have a dinnerware set. Yes, it's pricey but for those like me who collect it, it brings a lot of joy!. Dorie. Mount Dora, FL. Thu Sep 07 2023
