When you want to dress up something, sometimes it’s best when less is more. It accentuates a person or an item because it brings out the natural beauty, as opposed to overdoing it. That is the case with these oblong-shaped placemats. They’re made from 50% Cotton - 50% Leather, and they’re exotic-looking with an ethnic flair. I ordered these because I was specifically looking for green rectangular placemats, and there are not really many to choose from. My concern even when I ordered them is they are too casual because I want them for our formal dining room. However, I have it set up to glance at from time to time, and they are really growing on me! The color is rich and bright, I love it. I think the fringe does not look very refined, but it does add texture and warmth to the table setting.. Melissa. US. Sun Sep 24 2023

they work well. I would have given 5 stars if they were heavier.. Debra. TN. Sun May 10 2020

Love the bright bold colors! I give it four stars instead of five for a couple of reasons: 1) what you don’t see (or I didn’t) online is the big bee on it. That takes away from the look; 2) the material is very thin. One layer with a tightly stitched hem. I’m using them but wold like them better if they were at least two layers of material.. Jan.
