I have to be honest that I was leery about ordering wool coasters, but I loved the colors they match my decor. I was pleasantly surprised. They are about 12 thick, and I put them to the test right away. I put a glass of ice water that was guaranteed to sweat and left it until it quit sweating. It did not soak through! The wool coaster actually dried quickly as well. My only negative comment is that it would probably not be a good idea to use these coasters under delicate stem ware. The texture of these coasters may cause a lightweight glass to tip. For everyday use, they are perfect. Moisture does not collect on top and roll onto the table like some porcelainclay products, and they are definitely more attractive than cork and will not warp over time like cork does.
