Chunky linen is entirely handmade and has a natural, earthy look and feeling. The blend of modern and rustic design creates a very organic aesthetic, which truly embodies a vintage and nostalgic French style.

PROS the quality of these is exceptional. They have such a lovely hand feel and they are generously sized. CONS The color is MUCH more like a dingy mustard hue versus the brighter yellow shown in the photos. It is a bit of a number because the color is not quite what I had hoped for, so I will probably pass these along to a friend. I took a star off for this reason, but quality wise these are delightful. The solid color napkins involve merging of 2 different thread shades from the warp and the weft, the interplay of which creates a soft sheen. Soft and highly absorbent, these are a practical way to reduce consumption of disposable paper napkins. Packaged with a belly band and a hanger, it makes an excellent party favor and host or hostess gift. Handwoven fabrics are meticulously planned and created, requiring a complex estimation, depending on the design. Handweaving is unforgiving: mistakes cannot be reversed as weaves can't be undone.

These are lovely napkins - the blue is perfect for our table setting and I'm happy with the quality and especially their sustainability ethic.. Cindy. Grimsby, ON. Thu Aug 13 2020
