I should have read the item description better. They are very small but they do the job I guess. It keeps the pan from touching countertop but by raising it a bit in the middle, it doesn’t cover the bottom of the pan. I feel it might work well and it does take up less space. Looks nice. Goes with my coasters of the same style. One issue is that there are no soft pads to prevent the bottom from scratching your table (and it will, it has a few rough etches).
