[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stone Lane Vince 16 Piece Stoneware Dinner set in gray, is a great looking set. The front of the plates are glazed and the back side is not. Some have pretty rough edges on the bottom. When they sit in the cabinet they do not lay completely flat and they make a nails on the chalkboard sound if you just pull the plate off of the other instead on lifting it all the way up to pull it out of the cabinet. The plates are heavy to hold therefore, I would keep that in mind if you are purchasing the set as a gift. the other pieces of the set do not feel any heavier than any other dish set I have owned.. I had been wanting white dishes for a while. I finally pulled the trigger on these dishes and I’m so glad I did. One of my issues has been the cereal bowls in most sets are so deep they don’t fit in the dishwasher well. These don’t have that issue. The trade off though is they’re so wide a teaspoon can slide down into the bowl. I love that there are also serving pieces included. So far I really like these dishes though. They arrived well packaged and not one was broken. I’m hoping they don’t show scratches from using a knife to cut meat on them. So far so good. 6 month update I still really like these dishes. They have held up well and do not show scratches from cutting meat on them. There has also been no chips, cracks or stains. I wish it was in stock so I could order a set for our second home. The only negative is now I’m finding the stickers from the bottom in my dishwasher. 9 month update, I still like the dishes, but a few now have chips on the edges. I’m not sure exactly how they happened as we are not rough with our dishes. We don’t have any young kids at home. I can see a few scratches on the plates as well, but they’re not too bad.. Susan.
